International association for the measurement and evaluation of communication
AMEC has a range of Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) which are a sub community of membership with a shared interest or common ground wishing to share and advance a specific area of knowledge, learning or technology.
Members are provided a basecamp forum for networking and peer knowledge exchange and programming, with SIG events and sessions throughout the year for the group.
SIG groups may also be presented with opportunity to cooperate and affect or produce solutions within their field.

Common Ground is a community of AMEC agency members working together to further the adoption of measurement and evaluation best practices throughout the PR agency sector.
While PR agencies may be ultra-competitive in pitches, AMEC agency members understand when it comes to measurement and evaluation, most face similar challenges:
The AMEC Agency SIG has a dedicated basecamp forum for open peer exchange in a safe space and hold regular quarterly zoom meetings. The group also provides opportunity to be part of leading working groups to develop initiatives aimed at promoting and facilitating the measurement and evaluation of communication particularly to Agency clients and the wider sector.
Some examples of the key initiatives this group have developed or contributed to include:
Development of the AMEC Common Ground Agency Toolkit – a 6-part video series aimed at small-midsized agencies and in-house communications professionals, covering important measurement and evaluation topics.
The AMEC Mentoring Programme a new global mentoring programme aimed at furthering measurement and evaluation within organisations, both in-house and in agencies.

This group hold regular zoom meetings with featured “Ask the Expert” webinars where members can benefit from practical examples of implementing measurement and evaluation and Q&A sessions.
This SIG champions the importance of strategic communications in non-profit organisations. The Not for Profit group encourages higher standards of accountability through the use of effective measurement, research, and insights. This group facilitates the horizontal exchange of knowledge, focusing on best practices and challenges in this sector, tailors measurement practices to Not for Profits specific needs, and more.
The AMEC NFP SIG has a dedicated basecamp forum for open peer exchange in a safe space and shared resources to offer practical help for NFP organisations on their measurement journey. This group hold regular zoom meetings with featured “Ask the Expert” webinars where members can benefit from practical examples of implementing measurement and evaluation and Q&A sessions.
AMEC also encourages its members to sponsor a non-profit organisation to become a member of the AMEC Non-Profit Group in their country or region for 12 months.

This AMEC Special Interest Group (SIG) is a closed forum dedicated to AMEC members in research, measurement, evaluation, data, analytics and communication professionals in the centre of the action at their organization charged with completing key tasks. Since many of these members will be the key client contact, we expect them to raise and collaborate on issues, challenges and trends impacting the industry today; and look beyond to serve as super-forecasters to keep AMEC education and resources relevant.
The Gen Hub SIG has a dedicated basecamp forum for open peer exchange and collaboration meetings. The group also provides opportunity to be part of leading working groups to develop initiatives aimed at promoting and facilitating the measurement and evaluation of communication.

The AMEC Tech Hub SIG is an exclusive member community for technical professionals specializing in media monitoring, measurement and evaluation. Members will include technology partners, data providers, tech stack specialists and professionals committed to applying machine learning and AI to improve service and value to the measurement and evaluation of communication.
The Tech Hub SIG has a dedicated basecamp forum for open peer exchange in a safe space and hold regular zoom meetings. The group also provides opportunity to be part of leading working groups to develop initiatives aimed at promoting and facilitating the measurement and evaluation of communication.

The focus of this SIG is to build a community of AMEC Members and Publishers to coordinate discussion forums of rising issues. This group will be uniquely poised to collaborate in the ever-changing world of technology and publishing to align expectations and the reality of the measurement and evaluation of earned media.
This group will hold quarterly events. Each member should have at least one delegate in this new SIG, and ALL AMEC members are invited to attend the events.
