ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND THANKS
Thanks are due to AMEC’s Integrated Evaluation team who have worked so hard over the last year to develop the resource centre and our interactive framework.
Special thanks to Jim Macnamara, Professor of Public Communication. School of Communication, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Technology Sydney, who created the evaluation ‘taxonomy’ and graciously gave permission for AMEC to use and share it. Jim also leads the AMEC Academic Advisory Group who gave of their time to provide input and feedback on the different iterations of this framework in its development.
Thank you to the core members of the Integrated Evaluation Framework team:
- Paul Hender, Head of Insights at Gorkana
- Elayne Phillips of the UK Cabinet Office
- Giles Peddy, Group Managing Director of Lewis – who also kindly donated much development resource to make the interactive website possible
And the wider members of our team which included Mark Carrier, Research & Development Director, Reputation Intelligence, Kantar Media, Karen Prichard, MD of Reputation at Ebiquity, Lisa Story, Chief Strategy Officer of Cohn and Wolfe, Margot Savell, SVP Global Measurement at Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Paul Njoku, Head of GCS Evaluation Projects at the Cabinet Office, Ann-Sofie Kroll, CEO of byBrick Insight AB, Aseem Sood, CEO of Impact Research & Measurement, and Rayna Grudova-de Lange, CEO, DeLange Analytics.
Thank you as well to the industry experts who have contributed their thoughts and shared articles on our site. These include Professor Kevin Money, Professor of Reputation & Responsible Leadership at the Henley Business School, Charlie Snow, Chief Strategy Officer at MullenLowe, Stephen Waddngton, Partner and Chief Engagement Officer of Ketchum, Shonali Burke, President & CEO of Shonali Burke Consulting, and Gini Dietrich, CEO of Arment Dietrich Inc.
Finally I’d like to pay tribute and give special mention to friend of many in the global communications measurement community, Don Bartholomew, who sadly passed away last year. Don was author of the respected Metrics Man blog, and was SVP, digital and social media research at Ketchum. Don worked closely with me and the AMEC team on the development of many of our best educational resources including the social media measurement frameworks. His thinking has been instrumental to our success and I have tried at all times to keep his approach at the front of mind – to make a tool that is sophisticated and meaningful but not impenetrable or too complex to use. I believe we have got the balance right and hope that Don would think so too proud that his legacy lives on.
