AMEC launches a new way to learn with the Foundation Course in Measurement and Evaluation27th May 2021/in #AMEC25, AMEC Event, AMEC Global Summit, AMEC Member Article, News Matt Cartmell/by Julie WilkinsonAre you new to the topic of measurement and evaluation and want to know where to start learning? During a globally-presented session at the AMEC Virtual Global Summit on Measurement, we learn about the AMEC Foundation Course in Measurement and Evaluation, being launched in beta today. Whether you’re a PR executive looking to sharpen your understanding, a recent graduate wishing to stand out in a competitive marketplace, or a teacher looking for online teaching resources, the AMEC Foundation Course in Measurement and Evaluation offers something everyone can gain value from. This on-demand programme sets the basics, fills in the gaps, and ultimately helps learners to feel more confident when dealing with measurement and evaluation. Rayna de Lange, CEO, DeLange Analytics, announces the launch and explains the inspiration behind it. “In pre-COVID and COVID times, we focused our energy on developing this course because we knew that without a solid base, communicators might feel lost in data, in insight, in the technology around them, or in the terminology.” Francois van Dyk, Head of Operations, Ornico, provides his own viewpoint on why this course is much-needed: “For too long, too many communications professionals have believed that the best measurement and evaluation practices are either too complex or too expensive.” This educational resource, which takes just a couple of hours to complete, proves the wrongness of this belief. Bite-sized modules mean you can follow the course at your own pace. The learner is guided by an interactive experience, with videos of experts in the field explaining the best approaches to measuring communications. The course provides an introduction to the basic terminologies and theories around best analytical practices. Quantitative and qualitative techniques are explored in-depth. Data collection methods are considered, whether through media monitoring or alternative data sources. At the end of every module, a set of multiple choice questions allow the learner to see their own progress and test what they’ve picked up so far. The platform also offers additional reading if you want to know more. And best of all, the course is offered free of charge for beta testing through May and June, during which time AMEC will be taking feedback from participants in preparation for a July launch. There will be a small fee to non-AMEC members from July. Click here to find out more. Todor Kiriakov, Data Analyst, A Data Pro, offers his own view on the importance of the AMEC Foundation Course in Measurement and Evaluation : “We know that information is an essential resource in our industry, but knowledge is what makes this resource useable.” Steph Bridgeman, Experienced Analysts and Robin Ten Brink, Publistat, members of the working groups who developed the course also explain how the course works in practice and why this course is so important in the AMEC education suite. The AMEC course is open now in Beta test phase until the end if June 2021, to enquire about a free code in exchange for your feedback, please e-mail AMEC https://amec.blazedev.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/NG033_AMEC_Summit_2021_600x600_AW.jpg 600 600 Julie Wilkinson https://amec.blazedev.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/AMEC-25.png Julie Wilkinson2021-05-27 14:56:452021-05-27 15:08:38AMEC launches a new way to learn with the Foundation Course in Measurement and Evaluation
