International association for the measurement and evaluation of communication
THANK YOU…to all our members for helping to make Measurement Month 2018 our biggest yet with 58 events and initiatives taking place in 5 continents. Johna Burke, AMEC’s new Global Managing Director, saw Measurement Month at first hand through events in London, Bulgaria and New York. This is what two new members said about the value of Measurement Month. Andreas Thue, founder of Iteo, a Norwegian marketing communications agency, organised a Measurement Month breakfast seminar with a sell-out audience of 370 professionals!
He said: “As a new AMEC member, it has been very motivating to see how our Measurement Month breakfast seminar engaged Norwegian communicators. “Working in marketing and communication, we have to show how our work contributes to sales and new opportunities. Otherwise, we will lose credibility and budgets, so measurement has never been more important. We are pleased that we could to contribute to the discussion through our breakfast seminar.” Jon Meakin, Global Head of Strategic Services at Grayling, the PR Group, said: “In Grayling’s first year as an associate member of AMEC, we were determined to get behind Measurement Month and give it our full support. “The level of interest from clients, partners and our own colleagues surprised us. There is clearly an enormous appetite for information about best practice measurement and evaluation, and AMEC Measurement Month is the only means of putting the issue at the tip of the agenda.”
